MAONTRI has been on a winnable mark for some time but has failed to take advantage. However, she was receiving just 2lb when beaten two-and-a-half-lengths by Reckless Lad in November and is now a massive 17lb better off taking Keith Moriarty's claim into account so he's handed a tentative vote. Hat Alnasar is extremely consistent but has now been beaten three times off a 1lb lower mark than this since his victory in October. Marise has won over 1m2f here so it was a cracking effort to be beaten narrowly by Ishebayorgrey over 7f last week and she's a major threat to all. Connections have decided to give Grey Danube another crack at a mile despite the fine sprinter having been beaten on his only start over the trip here in March. He beat the useful Jamesie over 6f on his latest start on the track and adds a bit of quality to what looks a tricky event in which Settle For Red, who completed a double over track and trip before finding 7f too short, is another with a chance.
