ST CIANANS FIRE has really struck top form in the past few weeks, scoring at Punchestown and completing a track and trip double. He's up 6lb for his latest success but looks the one to beat. Mads Black Eights won here in October and has placed twice in four subsequent starts, the two poor runs coming over 1m4f. Halcyon Spirit ran his best race since arriving from the UK last year in a mile claimer last month while Newgirlintown ran better than her finishing position suggests over 1m4f a fortnight ago. Dragon Roll and Princess Wannabe would have to be considered if getting a run from reserve spots.
