Verdict

SOLOMON NORTHUP will be making his debut on the surface but his two runs to date have been in much stronger company, including a Curragh Group 2 last time when last of six behind current Derby ante-post favourite Ol' Man River. That should be good enough for this. After a very promising debut at Roscommon, Great Dancer disappointed on soft ground but came here last month and ran well though the form hasn't worked out. Creggs Pipes was a 25/1 chance on her debut over 6f last week but belied her odds with a staying-on effort which suggests this trip should prove ideal. Echoes Of My Mind finished tailed off on her debut on soft ground at the Curragh last month so it's difficult to know what to make of Aidan O'Brien's superbly-bred filly though much better will be expected of her. Awaiting Credit came home strongly over an extended mile at Galway in September and should win races in time.
