Verdict

Beat The Ballot had been running well without much luck before a convincing victory last week. He's only been raised 3lb so looks certain to get into contention. HILARY completed a double here last summer and looked on the way back with an unlucky effort a week ago behind Roter Baron where she failed to get the run of the race. She can gain compensation with her young rider's claim a bonus. Reckless Lad was having his first start since August when catching the eye behind Have A Nice Day last month and can make a bold bid. He should again take care of Balmont Blast but Crafty Codger, a winner over hurdles in November, could go well at a fair price.
