Mark Johnston has had four winners from eight runners here this season so Exemplary will have been primed for this. However, he has been in poor form since beating four rivals at Leicester in April and is overlooked this time in favour of FORCE OF HABIT, who has run twice over 1m3f here and come out on top both times. He's had little experience for his age and showed his versatility by scoring over hurdles at Galway in July. The veteran Kevkat has scored on the surface but his overall form leaves him just short while Kalacan, though consistent, hasn't won since May 2008. Asiya needs further but Denny Crane is running very well and has a C&D victory to his credit from just two runs on the track.
