Verdict

Splashtop had only won once in 16 starts on Turf before arriving for a claimer here a fortnight ago where he scrambled home by a short-head. He'll find this much tougher while Chestnut Fire makes his debut on the surface having followed a victory over the trip at Fairyhouse, when Bairns At Bay was behind, with a fair run in a better race at the Curragh. Kodiac's Back is in excellent form and battled away for another victory two weeks ago for which he's only been raised 2lb so he should be in the shake-up again. Poetic Choice won twice in the UK including on Polytrack and made a fair debut for new connections here last month but Fast In The Wind has never been placed in five starts here. ECOEYE has had little experience but landed a heavy-ground handicap over this trip at Listowel in May and was narrowly beaten at Cork in September. He looks on a lenient mark and can open his account on the surface.
