No less than eight of these have won over the C&D. Sam James brought Iron Major with a lovely-timed run here a fortnight ago and his mount had a little more in hand than the one length verdict over Joe Eile suggests. Akasaka was a further head behind in third, WHIPLESS a close up in fifth and If Per Chance, Taufan Express and the well-supported Tarrsille further behind. The winner looks certain to go close again but it's Jim Bolger's charge, who was having his first start for eight weeks and only his second on the surface, who gets the vote to turn the tables and take this. Elwazeer is running very well and looks a major threat after last week's cracking effort behind Cool Athlete where he had Knockgraffon Lad and Lord Kenmare behind.
