Raknah has had plenty of chances but was only headed close home in a fillies‘ race over track and trip two weeks ago. Blue Soul started favourite for what looked a decent maiden here last month and, though unable to find extra, has every chance of improving. THE OLD NINE was green on his debut and showed the benefit with a very good second to a useful type next time. That looks the best form on view though there are some well-connected newcomers taking part. Barzini is a half-brother to five winners while Nerano cost €250,000 being a son of War Front out of a mare from a top-class family. The latter‘s yard also run Celestial Reign, who got no sort of run on his debut here.
