VALLEY QUEEN beat subsequent winner Hoppsan at the beginning of last month then very nearly followed-up a week later when headed close home by Lord Kenmare. She's running so well that she can return to winning ways with Colin Kean's claim a bonus. Sterling Cooper ran easily his best race to date over the track and trip in September so it's a surprise to see him dropped in the ratings. He has to be on the shortlist along with Tsar Paul, who beat the selection over 7f at Down Royal in July and is better off at the weights. The three-year-old Miller Beach is closely matched with the latter on their placed efforts here a fortnight ago while Elusive Leona was having only her fourth outing when a good fourth to Rose Angel three weeks ago.
