Energize showed some ability for Richard Hannon and first-time blinkers may be a help while Dermot Weld's newcomer Instruct is a half-brother to a couple of winners and out of a high-class mare so is definitely one to watch. Zeftan made a fair debut over the course and distance then stepped up to 1m3f and was narrowly beaten by Lonan. He was only headed in the closing stages after leading 2f out and will be difficult to beat though ROMANTIC could have his measure. A moderate performer for Sir Henry Cecil, he made his debut for new connections in a handicap over the track and trip last week where he stayed on very strongly and looked ready to win soon.
