Pocotaligo was claimed after a close second behind Merricourt here a fortnight ago when Silk Air wasn't far behind in third and Zaamar a further four lengths back in fourth with Red Vermillion and Upwey further behind. The winner is trained by Ger Lyons, who has MARMOLATA (NAP) engaged here. She's shown real potential in both starts without being punished and is probably better than this grade. Royal Highness has been running in decent maidens and has found longer trips just beyond her in her last two starts so this distance and surface should enable her to get into the frame. Desert Viper has been running a bit better than form figures suggest and could also get into contention.
