SCRAPPER BLACKWELL just failed to catch Vinson Massif over the C&D in August and was expected to appreciate the extra furlong on a return visit a month later but was caught in the closing stages by Made In Design. It should be his turn tonight though Abstraction made a very promising debut at Down Royal in September where he was caught right on the line by Quinine. That form hasn't worked out brilliantly, however, but Red Queen showed very good pace to chase home Scatty Cat on very heavy ground at Cork and is likely to do better facing Polytrack for the first time. Beau Satchel was around 4l behind her that day but he's out of a mare who won on the all-weather so should be at home on the surface. Tommy Stack's newcomer Your Pal Tal shouldn't have a problem with the surface as he's a half-brother to an all-weather winner and Interim is a half-sister to the Cheveley Park winner Lightening Pearl.
