In depth

Verdict

Tullybeg made a very encouraging debut over hurdles on heavy ground at Navan then won a Bellewstown bumper on good going for which he's penalised. Kendancer has now been a short-priced beaten favourite in three of his last four starts but pulled up when tackling 2m5f here last month. Leading owner Barry Connell has had a quiet start to his career as a trainer but BIG KING could give him his first winner. He looked the likely winner when leading two out at Bellewstown but was run out of it close home with the remainder in the next parish. The Shunter caught the attention of the stewards when a close fourth at Tipperary, where he didn't get going until too late. That was his first start for Emmet Mullins so improvement can be expected.
