Whisky Galore was in reasonable form over hurdles in the summer but ran poorly over fences last time and has now gone 32 career starts without winning. Stablemate Streedagh Lady had a very long break after scoring at Southwell last year and hasn't shown much in two recent starts though he should be approaching peak fitness. CLANCY STRAND showed nothing in four early efforts over fences but has improved over hurdles and can now race from a very lowly mark so looks the one to be on. Rookery Rebel has generally performed at a slightly higher level but one success in 38 starts is hardly an advertisement for his chances.
