Scotch Beg finally got his head in front in a bumper here when stepped up in distance and should be at home over the trip on her hurdling debut. Polymath has run her last three races on this track but hasn't improved since narrowly beaten in May. She was a long way behind the rank outsider CAERLEON KATE when the latter was beaten a nose here last month and there doesn't appear much chance of reversing the form. Blue Empyrean was even further behind in fourth and may have to settle for a place at best.
