The switch back to hurdles paid dividends for Tawrific Laois at Thurles last month as he took advantage of a lenient mark. He's 7lb higher here but still below his rating over fences so can't be ignored. However, we marginally prefer LUCKY SPRING, who showed a very willing attitude to land a better race at Navan 12 days ago and will have the services of one of the most experienced riders in today's race. Selection Box is entitled to improve for a run over further here last month while Lynott has had a couple of outings on the all-weather since finishing third at Thurles last month so won't fail through lack of fitness.
