Jim Bolger won this last year with Stellar Mass and TWILIGHT PAYMENT can follow suit. He has a penalty for a victory at this level at the Curragh in September and his latest run behind Order Of St George at Leopardstown in May showed him to be as good as ever. Motherland was behind in that latter event and couldn't get to grips with the marathon Queen Alexandra Stakes at Ascot but the lightly-raced Savannah Storm stepped out of handicaps to run a fine race at this level at Roscommon though that was over much shorter. Willie Mullins has been in cracking form on the Flat and over jumps and Laws Of Spin, who completed a hat-trick in handicaps last year, made a fair reappearance at the Curragh earlier this month and looks a threat. The three-year-old Grandee didn't have much chance in the Irish Derby but had won a Listed contest over 1m4f at Leopardstown earlier and if staying this trip would have to be considered.
