Chavez has moved from Paul Nicholls for who he won a bumper and a maiden hurdle in convincing style at Ascot in March so is greatly respected. SALMANINO, a Punchestown handicap hurdle winner, was well supported for his chasing debut and was in touch when unseating two out. He attempted to make all over 2m5f at Cork but was caught close home where the winner was receiving 10lb. Winning bumper and hurdler Pats Choice makes his chasing debut though will need to find a bit more and stablemate Jack In The Box looks more likely to make a chaser.
