Verdict

Four last-time winners here, three of them on hurdling debuts. Pepsiwithacap was having her third start when scrambling home at Killarney and may struggle while Surac only just got up at Ballinrobe though should still hold third-placed Calico, who was around twelve lengths behind. The latter's yard is also represented by The Insider, a poor performer on the Flat but much improved for jumping hurdles as he showed when landing a Killarney maiden. Shetland Tony is another from the Elliott stable but he only got as far as the second in the race won by Pepsiwithacap at Killarney. TORY REEL blundered his way around Tipperary but still managed to get up and a better round would see him go close while Bringbackmemories is rated 84 on the Flat and is a very good addition to John McConnell's team.
