Verdict

Pride Of The Artic was narrowly beaten on his chasing debut at Ballinrobe but was soon done with when fancied at Killarney last time. El Fontan has improved with experience over fences and has run well enough in his last two starts to be given a chance. He holds Ferris Bueller on his run here last month but the latter was still in touch when falling at Tramore and has more to offer. GRIESENAU attracted hefty support before cleverly landing a Downpatrick maiden hurdle under a text-book Paul Carberry ride. He looks a promising type for chasing and can make a winning debut though Total Excitement ran well enough behind Lend A Hand Son at Tramore to consider.
