Verdict
Gordon Elliott has three entries and though former point-to-pointer Castlehume appears to have litte chance the remaining pair are obvious contenders. Winning point-to-pointer MONBEG NOTORIOUS (NAP) didn't have much to beat in a Tipperary bumper a month ago but could hardly have been more impressive and looks one to follow. Stablemate The Storyteller finished runner-up on his racecourse debut in this race last year and has been operating in bumpers subsequently, scoring very easily at Downpatrick when last seen in May. Bosco Di Alco won a bumper here in May and started favourite for his hurdling debut at Punchestown last month but a few novice errors put paid to his chances though he wasn't beaten far and will improve.
