Verdict

Karl Thornton has won this a couple of times in recent years so the veteran Bearly Legal, who was conceding Tyrrell's Succes 7lb when just beaten over the course and distance in March, is worth noting. Bronco Bill ran easily his best race to date on testing ground at Sligo so further rain would greatly enhance his prospects but Clondaw Farmer, who looked a useful prospect back in 2014, hasn't run since the following year. Maighnealta went up 10lb for his victory at Fairyhouse in December and has been unable to cope though is gradually coming down the weights while Whispering Affair has had all of her four starts over timber in the UK and finished a close second at Cartmel in July. SIR ECTOR, six times a winner on the Flat, was winning for only the second time on his 26th start over hurdles at Sligo but a 6lb rise doesn't look enough to prevent him scoring again. Face Value was engaged in the 6.45 at Bellewstown last night.
