Verdict

RICK had no answer to the late surge of No Planning over a shorter trip at Hexham but that wasn't a bad first run over fences from John Ferguson's eight-year-old. The extra quarter-mile here will suit and he can go one better today though Lets Get Serious is very interesting now tackling the larger obstacles and has more scope than stablemate Vosges, who has been placed five times in eight previous runs over fences but isn't getting any closer to that elusive first success. Mr Supreme is another who could thrive now going over fences and he's already run well over hurdles this month but Jack The Gent is probably best watched after an extended spell on the sidelines, though he has won over hurdles here and has the size to make a chaser.
