Researcher is likely to be a popular choice to land this weak event but the Venetia Williams-trained filly is far from certain to stay today's longer trip and looks worth taking on with Magical Field, who gets the verdict over Sports Express. The last mentioned has been off the track for a long time but has claims if fit enough after such an absence. The selection has not been seen since July but, with the stable of Mary Reveley in such good form, that should not be of too much concern. By Deploy, out of a Nashwan mare, Magical Field stayed two miles on the level and is likely to be suited by the 2m4f trip. Although out of a staying dam, Researcher is a half-sister to a sprinter and has not given much of an indication that she would stay this trip. Beacon Of Light has more to do under her penalty than when winning at Sedgefield last time, a comment that also applies to recent Ludlow winner Sunny Native. There are no such problems for Magical Field though and she gets the vote.
