In depth
Verdict
The form of Prince Imperial’s win at Chelmsford in October hasn’t worked out and he may struggle to give 7lb to even less-exposed rivals. Matthew Flinders had no luck in-running on debut at Haydock three weeks ago and Oisin Murphy keeps the partnership intact but ROBERTO ESCOBARR had encountered similar problems in the first division of the same race and also ran green. William Haggas’ Galileo colt may have the most scope. Thumur was an eye-catcher at Kempton in the autumn but First Winter was only fourth when favourite at Yarmouth, though the third has won since.
