Plenty with chances in a very competitive novices’ handicap. Barrichello, who was 4-11 over hurdles, hasn’t done a lot wrong in his two runs to date over the larger obstacles. Datsalrightgino has also taken well to fences but may struggle to beat last month’s Kempton runner-up Haddex Des Obeaux on collateral form. Herbiers and Call Of The Wild are chasing newcomers to note but COASTGUARD STATION was very well backed against more experienced rivals here on his first run over fences and didn’t disappoint. He is a pound out of the handicap today against stronger opposition but might be worth following. Moriko De Vassy needs to brush up his jumping if he is to make the grade in this sphere.
