Chirico Vallis won in a higher grade at Chepstow in October but COOL MIX is also eased in grade. He finished fourth in the Rehearsal Chase at Newcastle last month when Glen Forsa was pulled up having failed to jump with any fluency. Iain Jardine’s grey should be in the firing-line here but 3m has proved beyond Cat Tiger so far. Kalooki will strip fitter for a run at Newbury while Oscar Robertson won easily at Wetherby but is tackling stronger opposition here.
Kalooki (GER) 4-1fav (11-9) Mid-division, pushed along after 3 out, bad mistake when beaten 2 out, gradually faded, 7th of 13, 37 1/2l behind Kapcorse (10-12) at Newbury 2m 6f hcp (2) gs in Nov.
