In depth

Verdict

Valid Point made mistakes but was an easy winner in a lesser grade at Leicester earlier this month. Victor Hewgo usually runs well here and will be better for his comeback while Fontwell third Ziga Boy can't get much lower in the weights. Bob Tucker won at Worcester in October but couldn't cope with his new mark at Ascot and American Legend has been a beaten favourite twice since scoring in the summer and may be better on a quicker surface. Red Admirable and Westward Point are probably best watched at present and Godsmejudge is not the force of old but WILD BILL (NAP) looks progressive. He was always travelling best when successful over track and trip last month and is worth a try in this better grade.
