Verdict
Only one winner has returned at double-figure odds in the last 10 years so it's worth monitoring the betting. Bill Turner has trained four of the last eight winners and the filly Paddy Again represents his yard this time round. Mick Easterby won this with a gelding in 2012 so MOUNTAIN MAN is also worthy of consideration. He's a half-brother to a winner and well drawn if the going remains soft. The latter's stablemate Hoofithully, Flyball for the Hannon yard and Newbury's Super Sprint entry Brazen Spirit are others to note while Endislie may prove best of Stan Moore's three runners. Magic Florence is a half-sister to the speedy Hamza but has been done no favours by the draw and neither has Escalating, an earlier January foal who should go well.
