    Verdict

A potentially-informative maiden featuring a number of nicely-bred types. Roossey has travelled up from Newmarket and has a decent pedigree though, like Mattmu, would probably benefit from an extra furlong. Grand Beauty's dam was speedy so Richard Fahey's filly is worth a second look but BEACON fetched £52,000 as a yearling and, by Paco Boy out of a mare than won over 6f as a juvenile, it will be disappointing if Richard Hannon's colt isn't involved in the finish. Mountain Man ran in the Brocklesby but may need more time.
