In depth

Verdict

All of these step up in distance but FAIRMAC (NAP) looks to have every chance if lasting home. Placed over 1m2f here last month, Mark Johnston’s charge drops down a couple of grades for this and can race off the same mark. Most of the opposition make their handicap debuts today including the selection’s stablemate Soapy Stevens and Summer Power but Valparaiso and Temple Lock have had a run on the all-weather this year with the former’s length defeat over 1m2f at Lingfield looking the stronger form.
