          Bomb Alaska Has had a wind operation in the winter and will love the ground; has solid place claims but looks to have a bad draw.

          Mastermind (IRE) His best form is over further but he will love the ground and he is from a very shrewd yard; watch the market.

          Atlantic Rhapsody (FR) Has had a slight problem of late but he will go in the ground; has two ways of running.

          Sir Ninja (IRE) Has had a pipe-opener on the AW but he must improve to take a hand here.

          Pantar (IRE) Will go well on the ground and is a distance winner, but he will have to improve on his seasonal debut to take a hand here.

          Swan Knight (USA) From the Pipe yard but needs to improve on his recent form to take a hand here.

          Peartree House (IRE) Is well in at the weights on his best form; from a shrewd yard, watch the market.

          Desaru (USA) Was a good two-year-old but appears to have gone the wrong way; a change of yard could have freshened him up.

          Highland Reel Will go on the ground, has a handy weight and looks the type to improve with age; major player.

          Calcutta Loves soft ground but his form tailed off towards the end of last season and others preferred.

          Ridgeway (IRE) Has been running well over hurdles, will handle the ground and has definite place claims.

          Kirovski (IRE) His best form is on faster ground and he likes to be up with the pace; will go well if he handles the conditions.

          King Priam (IRE) Ran well in this contest last year; has had a pipe opener on the AW and he should run well again.

          Amaranth (IRE) Will have to be at his very best to take a hand here and others are preferred.

          Captain Scott (IRE) Was a fair handicaper a few years ago but he seems to be on the downgrade now.

          Nimello (USA) Won well on the AW on his seasonal debut and he looks the one to beat with this weight.

          Exeat (USA) Has lots of ability but he sometimes does not use it; major player if in the mood.

          Everest (IRE) Has been in good form of late but he will need to improve again to win a hot handicap like this.

          Culzean (IRE) Looks the stable second string and others preferred,

          Hail The Chief Has been in good form on the AW and this is his best trip; place claims.

          Espada (IRE) Needs to improve on last season's form to take a hand here.

          John Ferneley Won this well last year on faster ground but the ground and the draw look to have gone against him this year; others preferred.
