An interesting Listed race in which the vote just goes to Cornus, who gets the verdict ahead of Andronikos and Joseph Henry. The last mentioned has come back well following a training set back and has to be respected, although a doubt remains as to his effectiveness over today's trip. The same comment could be made regarding the distance for the selection, who strictly holds Mark Johnston's horse on running at Newmarket last time, but there is no reason on pedigree why the son of Indian Ridge should not be as effective over today's trip as the minimum. The son of Indian Ridge looks more progressive than Paul Cole's Andronikos who was found wanting when stepped up in class behind Galeota in Newbury's Mill Reef stakes last time. David Loder's Dramaticus was not surprisingly outclassed in Newmarket's Middle Park last time and this is probably more his level. Dario Gee Gee and Harvest Warrior look exposed now and preference is for Cornus, who is taken to land his first race over six furlongs.
