Verdict

Haydock winner Claimantakinforgan started favourite in a Listed race at Ascot in Decenber but was soon outpaced. Monty's Award had subsequent Catterick winner Getaway Whiskey six lengths behind when making a winning debut at Worcester in October but hasn’t been seen since. Emma Lavelle’s bumper horses are usually worth a market check here but Balibour has much to prove while Sea Sovereign had a hard race when third at Kempton last month having led turning into the straight. Tayzar is a son of Kayf Tara so could be the pick of the newcomers but BLACK OP may be the one to be on. The wide-margin winner of a Loughanmore maiden point last March, he doesn’t look short of pace and Tom George has done well with similar types.
