Salhood can defy a penalty to account for Supreme Dawn, Powder Creek and Lord Buckingham in the final race on card. Salhood has been placed to score twice already, landing a bumper at Chepstow in May before powering his way to victory at Leicester six days ago on only his second outing over hurdles. His jumping left a bit to be desired, but there was no doubting his enthusiasm, and Robert Thornton is sure to try and gallop his rivals into the ground again here. Powder Creek has struggled a bit since coming back and has been given another break. He can prove to be the best of Mary Reveley's pair, the other being Peterson's Cay, but a bigger danger to the selection may be Supreme Dawn, placed in both starts over timber at Warwick, and who will be fancied to recoup losses for Colin Tinkler. Lord Buckingham has taken on good company, having finished fifth to Bourbon Manhattan on his bumper debut at Newbury, before running a creditable third to Distant Prospect on his hurdles bow at the Berkshire track in December. He is going the right way and when he brushes up his jumping, will pay to follow. On this occasion though, he and the rest will find it tough to peg back Salhood, who can make all.
