Harome showed good speed again at York last time when seeking back-to-back wins but eventually finished a length behind Orvar. East Street Revue will appreciate the drop back to 5f after his third at Redcar and Classic Pursuit has struck form with a vengeance, though has a lot to prove in this grade. CARLTON FRANKIE beat a couple of subsequent winners at Redcar in May. She is still 3lb higher but has strong claims in this as long as the going doesn’t deteriorate. Bashiba has run some of his best races here and will be interesting if the handicapper eases him further ahead of the big meeting here next month.
