        Verdict

        Shwaiman's close-up third behind a subsequent winner at Goodwood suggests he'll be winning soon while Parker Ridge was noted making good late headway over a shorter trip on his debut at Kempton and will know more today. Lingfield sixth Hunting Ground is another open to improvement and Bossa Nova Baby stepped up on her first run when third at Newmarket but we like the look of the four-year-old SPIRITOFTOMINTOUL. A half-brother to the useful Camberley Two, he showed promise in two runs over this trip last summer and will be expected to pay his way this season.
