Verdict

Stayer Byron Flyer was beaten by Star Of The East over 1m6f at Newmarket last time but the latter was soon left behind over this trip at Haydock subsequently and is high enough in the weights now. Highbrow is an interesting contender as he is making his handicap debut and was tried in a Group 2 at Ascot in June after placing in Listed races at Newmarket and Goodwood earlier. But there should be more to come from DUBAWI PRINCE, a comfortable winner on his belated reappearance at Newmarket. He has few miles on the clock and hails from a yard that has excelled with similar types. Royal Reserve has proved himself on Turf this year but is probably in the handicapper’s grip.
