Verdict

MASTER OF IRONY, who won his maiden at Lingfield in December, spoiled his chance when slowly away behind Critical Risk here last month but stayed on in determined fashion and should take all the beating in this if getting away on terms. Windsor winner Gossiping was well beaten on his handicap debut at Newmarket but this looks less competitive, though Beverley winner Montefalcon is eased in grade after a run at HQ and My Strategy's third at Nottingham was his best run so far on Turf. Oregon Gift appears to have lost the plot but Al Rayyan should strip fitter for his fourth at Redcar.
