    Verdict

Bertiewhittle has been placed on his last three starts and will surely be winning one of these soon, but DARK ISLE is preferred. He found only Sylvestris too good over 7f at Warwick on his reappearance and the latter's performance in a Listed race at York on Friday suggests John Hills' gelding is up to winning in this company. Glass Mountain posted a better effort on his reappearance at Kempton and has claims, while the newcomer Crew Cut cost 50,000gns is worth keeping a close eye on for the future.
