Most of the pace in this looks to be among the high numbers so If So, who has already had a good season, will have no excuses from stall 21. Lightly-weighted three-year-old Mayaasem also catches the eye, though he's closely matched with Saloomy on Newmarket running. Muthmir was disappointing last time and may not have been done any favours by the draw while Dark Castle could also struggle but Thunderball won off a 3lb higher mark over track and trip in the spring and could run well at decent odds. BABY STRANGE would have preferred more rain but won this in 2010 and showed he retains plenty of ability when successful at Newcastle in June. Only beaten a neck at Newmarket when favourite last time, the grey has struck up a good understanding with 7lb claimer Adam McLean and must be thereabouts again granted a clear run. Line Of Reason has been rested since running below par at York in July and is another to consider.
