WINTERWOOD takes the eye in this line-up and is taken to get the better of Peters Star and the likes of Mayor Of Kilcock and Cash For Honours. Tim Vaughan has had a relatively lean couple of months by his standards which is a slight cause for concern but Winterwood appears to have enough in his favour to earn the vote. He got off the mark at the ninth attempt in Ireland before joining this yard and he made a respectable debut for his new team when staying on at the one pace suggesting that he may well improve for this longer trip. Peters Star has bounced back from a spell in the doldrums to win twice and he won as he liked at Haydock but that didn't escape the handicapper's eagle eye and he's a stone higher as a result. Mayor Of Kilcock has claims if he can see out this longer trip which is far from certain and Cash For Honours is also trying a stiffer test in a visor for the first time having proved a little disappointing but it should suit and he does have ability. Kings Rock is on a fair mark and was entitled to need the run last month so merits consideration along with the consistent Solway Minstrel but the vote's awarded to Winterwood.
