In depth

Verdict

There is almost certainly more to come over fences from OWEN GLENDOWER following a comfortable debut victory at Ludlow. He doesn't look badly handicapped here on his hurdles form and gets the vote ahead of the in-form Quicuyo and Kings Grey, who was put up 11lb after winning at Newcastle. Paul Webber's stable seems to have turned a corner and Marley Roca was still going well when falling behind Quicuyo here last time. The seven-year-old should be far away today with a clear round but Restezen D'Armor may now be in the handicapper's grip and American Trilogy has his first start since April. Montoya's Son also returns from a break.
