Verdict
Official ratings point to Yazaman but he didn’t travel with a great deal of enthusiasm in the Gimcrack at York last time and is now fitted with a visor. Like Dark Lion, he is not progressing but that accusation can’t be levelled at Line Of Departure, who is on a hat-trick after winning nurseries at Yarmouth and Ascot. The form of his latest victory was franked when the runner-up won at York. Imperial Force would have claims on his third in the Norfolk Stakes but UNCLE JUMBO was fourth in a similar race at York three weeks ago when doing his best work at the finish. The winner that day has subsequently landed a Group 3 and the runner-up had placed in Group 2 races previously so the form looks solid and his yard has won this twice in the last seven years.
