BENBAUN is the class act here and can land this Listed contest; Moorhouse Lad and Turn On The Style make it to the shortlist. Mark Wallace's seven-year-old gained the best win of his career last October when winning the Prix De L'Abbaye at Longchamp. Although not entered for that race this year this consistent gelding has the class to take this race having run fairly well behind Marchand D'Or and Borderlescott in tough recent assignments. Desert Lord is capable on his day but doesn't seem to be in form at the moment and his electric early pace seems to be on the decline, whilst Moorhouse Lad is a proven performer at Group level but recent efforts have been lacklustre. Hypnosis and Princess Ellis are making up the numbers, so of more interest may be Loch Verdi who ran well on her reappearance and is sure to have improved plenty for that run. Turn On The Style is very quick and returns to the UK after racing during the winter in Dubai. He was an improving handicapper last season and it may not be long before he can gain some Listed or Group success. A good opportunity it seems though for Benbaun to get back to winning ways, assuming that the ground doesn't deteriorate too badly.
