In depth

Verdict

Kempton winner Longlai was engaged in the 5.20 Newmarket yesterday. DEPUTY made a perfectly acceptable reappearance in a higher grade at Redcar and has been dropped a pound since. He may have too much speed for Cosmos Raj, who appeared to get outpaced over a mile at Ripon so may not be suited by a further drop in trip. Mountbatten is open to further improvement and Stockpyle is fairly treated at present but Newcastle second How Impressive is making his debut on this surface.
