Three of these were winners last time and two were successful over the course and distance. Zalvados scored here five weeks ago with the blinkers back on but he has a poor strike-rate. Prudhomme was having only his second run over fences when winning here in December and may have more scope than December’s Taunton winner Master Work. Pogue has a good record over track and trip and has found only one too good in both starts this term but a clear round at Wetherby last time will have done wonders for the confidence of RAVENHILL ROAD. He also likes it here and has dropped to a decent mark.

Master Work (FR) 7-1 (11-0) Midfield, pushed in 4th after 3 out, just behind front pair jumping last, stayed on well under hands and heels, led close home, won at Taunton 2m 2f hcp (3) gs in Dec beating Fanzio (11-9) by 1/2l, 7 ran.
Prudhomme (FR) 10-3 (11-12) Held up in rear, not fluent 11th, headway to chase leaders 3 out, switched right to challenge and ridden before last, ran on well to lead final 100yds, won at Doncaster 2m 3f hcp (4) gs in Dec beating Peur De Rien (10-13) by nk, 6 ran.
