        Verdict

        MAYBE I WONT scored twice at Epsom last summer and amazingly, after just two subsequent runs on softer ground and over a longer trip, is on a 2lb lower mark than for the latest of those victories. He gets the vote here though War Poet is likely to prove a very tough opponent after his impressive handicap debut success over today's rival Sirgarfieldsobers, who reopposes on 8lb better terms, at Thirsk. Ubi Ace is in very good form and ran his best race to date behind Line Of Duty at York last month while Spensley, who completed a hat-trick on Polytrack at Kempton in the autumn, is much better than he showed on his return to action at Ascot.
