This has not been the best of seasons for the two-year-old runners from the David Loder stable, with very few of yard's youngsters obliging first time out. The Newmarket-based handler is doubly represented here - by British Blue, the mount of Seb Sanders and the David McCabe-ridden Habayeb - but the way things have been going this term caution is probably the best advice, in particular as both make their racecourse debuts. The likely favourite is the Barry Hills-trained Bint Alhaarth. The half-sister to Idle Power improved on her debut effort behind the useful Londonnetdotcom when chasing home Royal Dignitary at Sandown last month. A reproduction of that effort may suffice. Sir Michael Stoute's Desert Lord is entitled to come on for his debut third to Gems Bond at Newbury but needs to, while only four Mark Johnston juveniles have won at the first time of asking this season so the likelihood is that Kentucky King will need the outing.
