In depth

Verdict

Sedgefield winner Ravenscar failed to cope with a 7lb rise at Newcastle while Gilbertina was a beaten favourite here in January after scoring at Market Rasen, though that was over a longer trip. At A Pinch beat Minelladestination a length at Southwell but the runner-up is now 2lb better off and might turn the tables. PRETENDING failed to land the odds at Catterick after a debut third here but her form is working out and she gets a handy weight-for-age allowance making her handicap debut today.
